Street Dance/Beer Garden
New for 2008! Call your friends to meet you the first on-campus
street dance/beer garden on Saturday night. Let's make it a Homecoming
tradition! Beer garden
opens at 6 p.m. near Peterson Field and the dance starts at 8 p.m. featuring
the live performance of "Yesterday and Today."
Honored alumni
Two Dana College alumni will be
honored at the Awards Buffet Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Dr. Donald Baack ’75, university professor at Pittsburg State
University, will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. Søren
Schmidt ’98,
program director at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp, will
be honored as the Outstanding Young Alumnnus.
Three-sport athlete Stephenie (Wilson '96) Tupa will be inducted
into the Athletic Hall of Fame during a Saturday morning breakfast
at 9 a.m. Basketball standout Shawn Fasbender '97 will also be
inducted as
well as Dana's
longtime
coach and
first female athletic director Kathy Foley.
Chorale Concert
Hear the Dana College Chorale in concert on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
in Trinity Chapel.
Discover Dana Day
Do you know a high school student who might be interested in Dana College? Dana
College Admissions will be hosting a “Discover Dana Day” on Saturday
morning where prospective students can visit with Dana faculty and staff about
academics and student life, as well as receive a campus tour. Let us know who
is coming by calling 402-426-7222.
Bookstore Open
The Dana College Bookstore will be open for alumni to shop for their favorite
Dana apparel and insignia items from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday.
